Join us at GroovyEDU during the Austrian school Herbstferien for an inspiring 4-day autumn holiday workshop! Designed specifically for elementary school children (ages 6 to 12), our screen-free program gives young creators the space to explore art, design, clay, and hands-on craftsmanship in a warm, welcoming studio environment.

Program Overview
Dates:
Tuesday, October 27 – Friday, October 30, 2026 (4 Days)
Age Group:
6–12 years (Elementary school children)
Creative Explorers 6–12 years.
Focus: World-building, character design, mini-comics, structured creative problem-solving, and personal style development.
Group Size:
Strictly limited to 6–8 participants for maximum individual guidance and a cozy atmosphere.
Language:
Facilitated in English, German, and Spanish for an international, welcoming space.

What to Expect & Daily Themes
Throughout the 4-day autumn program, children will dive into hands-on art mediums led by graphic designer and illustrator Laura Portillo. Each day brings a new focus, encouraging process-oriented exploration without rigid rules:

GroovyEDU offers small-group workshops where children can explore their creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment. Our programs are designed to encourage confidence, imagination, and hands-on learning through art, design, storytelling, and creative play.

About our Programs
Creative, screen-free workshops where children explore art, design, storytelling, and hands-on making. Our programs are designed to nurture imagination, confidence, and creative thinking through engaging projects, small-group learning, and a supportive multilingual environment. Every child is encouraged to experiment, create, and discover their unique creative voice.
Creative Makers Lab
A playful and hands-on workshop where children explore colors, textures, and materials through art, crafts, and sensory experiences. Through guided creative projects, children are encouraged to experiment, discover new techniques, and express their ideas in a fun and supportive environment. Each session promotes imagination, confidence, and creative thinking while helping children develop fine motor skills and a love for making and creating.
Recommended Ages: 4–7 years old.
English Through Creativity​
A playful and engaging workshop where children develop confidence in English through art, music, storytelling, games, and hands-on creative activities. Rather than focusing on traditional language lessons, children learn naturally through interaction, imagination, and play. By combining creativity with everyday vocabulary, this workshop creates a fun and supportive environment where children can practice English while expressing themselves, collaborating with others, and exploring new ideas.
Recommended Ages: 5–9 years old.
Design & DIY Studio
A creative workshop where children explore the world of design by transforming their ideas into unique handmade products. Through fun and engaging projects, young creators learn the basics of design, develop problem-solving skills, and discover their personal style while making practical items they can use, wear, or share. Each project encourages creativity, independence, and confidence through hands-on learning and artistic expression.
Recommended Ages: 6–10 years old.
Character & Storytelling Academy
A creative storytelling journey where children bring their ideas to life by designing original characters, building imaginative worlds, and creating their own stories. Through drawing, writing, brainstorming, and visual storytelling, children learn how stories are developed from an initial idea to a finished project. This workshop encourages creativity, self-expression, and confidence while helping children transform their imagination into meaningful narratives they can proudly share.
Recommended Ages: 7–12 years old.
Creative Jewellery
Lab
A fun and engaging workshop where children design and create their own wearable art while developing patience, focus, and creativity. Through colorful materials and hands-on projects, children explore different techniques to make unique accessories that reflect their personality and style. This workshop encourages self-expression, attention to detail, and collaboration in a relaxed and creative environment.

Reservations & Cancellations
As a small business with strictly capped group sizes (max. 6–8 children), we cannot reserve dates or hold spots without completed webshop checkout.
